AT COLORADO: This Season (Soph.)—He walked on to the team during the spring semester and participated in drills and workouts with the team, practicing at running back.
HOCKEY—He played three seasons as a defenseman on the Tri-City Americans (2013-16) hockey team out of Kennewick, Wash. in the Western Hockey League, one of three major junior hockey leagues … Appeared in 43 games in 2013-14 and 45 games in 2014-15, but only two in 2015-16 as a shoulder injury sidelined him and ended his hockey career ... In his three years and 90 total games, he had one goal, three assists and 173 penalty minutes.
HIGH SCHOOL—He was a running back/fullback for Ralston Valley High School.
ACADEMICS—He is majoring in Business (Management) at Colorado and is also enrolled in CU’s College of Arts and Sciences, currently with an open option on his area of emphasis there … He was the owner of a 3.85 GPA in high school.
PERSONAL—He was born April 8, 1996 in Denver ... Hobbies include hockey, fly fishing and mountain biking … His grandfather, Ron Scott, was a three-year starter for the Buffs at middle guard for the program that went 22-7-2 during his years of eligibility (1965-67) ... Ron was named captain his senior year, a year they went 9-2 with a victory over the Miami Hurricanes in the Bluebonnet Bowl ... He is the current Director of Development for the Buff Club ...
