CROSS COUNTRY: (2017) Tedder raced four times for the Buffs. He was 28th at the Colorado State Invitational and followed it up with a seventh place finish at the Rocky Mountain Shootout. Tedder went on to record a runner-up finish in the ‘B’ race at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, leading the Buffs to the team title. That finish earned him a position on the Pac-12 Championship roster, where he placed 57th overall.
AT CORNELL: Tedder competed three seasons in cross country at Cornell, missing his sophomore season (2014) due to injury. He ran all three seasons at the Ivy League Championships, twice finishing 44th overall. Tedder also competed at the NCAA Northeast Region Championship on two occasions. He was 74th as a freshman and in 2016, Tedder improved to 70th. On the track, Tedder won the 2017 Ivy League Outdoor 10,000-meter Championship, finishing in 31:55.17. He advanced to the NCAA East Preliminary Championship in the 5,000 and placed 36th overall. As a junior, Tedder recorded a fourth-place finish in the 5k at the Ivy League outdoor meet before placing 37th at prelims. During the indoor season, he finished fourth in the mile at conference and helped the 4x800-meter relay to a fifth place finish.
HIGH SCHOOL: Tedder competed on both the cross country and track and field teams at Battle Ground HS. As a member of the cross country team he was named First Team All-League from 2010-2012, All-Region in 2011 and 2012, and All-State in 2012. He also captained the team in his final two seasons. Additionally, Tedder captained the track and field team in 2013. He was named Second Team All-League for the 1,600-meter event in 2012 and was All-Region that same year.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Tedder is pursuing a graduate degree in applied mathematics.
PERSONAL: Mark Daniel Tedder is the son of Daniel and Cindy Tedder. He has two brothers, Luke and Andrew, and one sister, Amy.
