QUICKLY  Colorado is now both 7-2 overall and 5-1 in league play for the first time since 2005 … CU’s last winning score of 20-10 came 30 years ago last week: Oct. 25, 1986 over No. 3 Nebraska in Boulder … Colorado has now won eight of the nine coin tosses this season (and has deferred to the second half all eight times) … UCLA was the fifth opponent to open a game on offense with a “three-and-out” against the Buffs (three others had just one first down) …  UCLA became just the second team in five games to own a lead over the Buffaloes this year in the state of Colorado (Oregon State led 3-0 for 2:06 … Colorado trailed at halftime for just the third time this season (24-21 at Michigan, 14-0 at USC previously) … The last time CU and its opponent both had 10 or more penalties in a game was on Oct. 1, 2011 (CU 10-90, Washington State 10-125); that was CU’s first Pac-12 league game ... This was CU’s 399th all-time victory at home (307th at Folsom Field) … CU is now 53-19 against unranked teams in November dating back to the early 1990s … CU is now 3-21 under MacIntyre when trailing at halftime (Buffs were down 10-7 at intermission tonight); CU is now 4-1 under Mac when tied going into the fourth quarter.

Offense Notes … Colorado won back-to-back games scoring under 20 points for the first time since the 1969 season (identical 17-14 wins over Kansas and Oklahoma State on Nov. 8-15) … CU had 105 yards in the second quarter—its 23rd this season in 36 quarters; only UCLA and Michigan have held the Buffs to one 100-yard quarter in a game this season.

Defense Notes … UCLA finished with 210 yards of offense; it is the fourth team the Buffs have held to under 250 this season, last done by CU in 1998 (four under 250 that year) … The 58 points CU has allowed over its last five games are the fewest in a five-game span by a Buff defense since the middle of the 1991 season (55 in a 4-0-1 stretch) … UCLA was 3-of-19 on second downs and limited the Bruins to 20 total yards … The Bruins opened 3-of-4 on first downs but converted just 1-of-11 the rest of the way … DT Josh Tupou made his 40th career start tonight, the most among all active Buffs ...

INDIVIDUAL LINER NOTES

QB Sefo Liufau (30-19-2, 143, 0 TD; 23-58 0 TD rushing; 201 total offense).  He tied the school record for the most starts at the quarterback position with his 35th, pulling even with Darian Hagan (28-5-2 record between 1989-91); Liufau is 13-22 and it was his 82nd school record (owned/shared) ... His school-record streak of 152 consecutive passes came to an end on his fifth throw of the night (it was tipped twice); it was also his first interception of the year, as his last one was thrown last Nov. 7 (versus Stanford) …

ILB Kenneth Olugbode (4,0—4 TT; 1 TFL, 1 INT).  He had the third interception of his career, the second of the year—becoming the first CU linebacker to have two in a season since Shaun Mohler had two in 2008.  It also extended CU’s nation-best streak to forcing at least one turnover in 22 straight games (Alabama is next with 20).

CB Chidobe Awuzie (2,0—2 TT, 1 QBS, 1 Blk).   He recorded CU’s first blocked kick of the year; CU’s last blocked field goal attempt was by Tedric Thompson against Colorado State in Denver last year (Sept. 19, 2015).  He added to his career quarterback sack total with his eighth tonight; he was already CU’s all-time leader in sacks by a defensive back.

CB/KR Isaiah Oliver (5-124, 1 TD PR).  He had his career long punt return of 68 yards, returning it for a TD, CU’s first for a score since Stephane Robinson returned one 81 yards against Kansas on Oct. 22, 2005.  He’s the first Buff to have over 100 yards in punt returns in a game since Josh Smith (4-108) against Eastern Washington on Sept. 6, 2008; it was the most yards since Roman Hollowell had 6-148 against Fresno State on Aug. 26, 2001.

TB Phillip Lindsay (149 APY: 24-73, 1 TD rushing; 11-76 receiving).  Has now scored a touchdown in 7-of-9 games this season; he is the CU tailback to score 10 or more rushing touchdowns in a season since Rodney Stewart had 10Ds in 2010.
--His 11 receptions were a record for the most in a game by a CU running back; the old mark was nine by Lawrence Vickers versus Oklahoma State in Boulder on Oct. 9, 2004 (for 96 yards).
