Colorado ties Utah and Denver for the most All-RMISA honorees

BOULDER – The Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association announced the All-RMISA teams Monday and 10 University of Colorado skiers where honored.

The All-RMISA teams are comprised of the top 10 in the overall NCAA qualification points, which are accumulated throughout the season. The top five for Nordic and alpine, both men and women, earning first-team honors while those ranking 6-10 are named to the second-team.

Colorado's 10 honorees ties with Utah and Denver for the most from any school in the conference. It is also the most total All-RMISA honorees since CU had 10 in 2013. The year prior to that in 2012, 13 Buffs were on the list.

CU had six first-team honorees this year with the women's Nordic and men's alpine drawing two apiece.

Petra Hyncicova and Christina Rolandsen garnered first-team honors for women's Nordic, as they ranked first and fourth in NCAA qualification points.

For men's alpine it was David Ketterer and Ola Johansen, who ranked first and fifth, respectively, in qualification points.

CU's two other first-team honorees were Petter Reistad for men's Nordic and Tonje Trulsrud on women's alpine.

The second-team honorees included three from the women's Nordic team – Ane Johnsen, Jesse Knori and Anne Siri Lervik – as well as Max Luukko on the men's alpine side.

The selections for the 2018 NCAA Championships will be announced on Tuesday. Colorado departs on Saturday for New Hampshire, as the Buffs are seeking a 21st national championship in program history.
